The health of your teeth is important for many reasons. A bright smile can help with confidence and make it easier to interact with others during work and at play. Beyond aesthetics, teeth that aren’t properly cared for can cause pain and difficulty with daily activities such as speaking and chewing food.

While regular brushing and flossing can go a long way to preventing problems with your teeth, sometimes it’s not enough. Missing teeth due to trauma or decay, or a bite that is out of alignment can only be corrected through restorative procedures, such as dental implants or orthodontics.

Dental Implants

Used as the platform for several functional and cosmetic procedures, dental implants are integrated with the bone and can be used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. These platforms can be used in conjunction with several restorative procedures, including both crowns and dentures.

Dental implant replacement typically has three components. A metal cylinder is placed in the bone (under the gum tissue) to function as the root of a tooth. Once that is ready, a component is attached to the implant and then a ceramic crown is made. The process usually requires multiple visits. LEARN MORE

Orthodontics

For many people, misaligned teeth are cause for embarrassment and can affect their confidence. However, having teeth out of alignment can also cause physical damage, including decay, difficulty chewing, problems speaking clearly and even headaches and jaw (TMJ) pain. A single tooth can cause a chain reaction, affecting the adjoining teeth and exacerbating the issue.

Regularly-scheduled appointments are important for early detection. If the problem is addressed soon enough through orthodontics, the treatment plan can be shorter and less complicated. As part of every dental visit to Creekside Dental, we’ll check the alignment of your teeth and, if necessary, recommend a course of action. LEARN MORE
